What is it?
Multiprotocol Layer Switching (MPLS) is a new technology protocol used mainly to interconnect geographically dispersed locations. The power of MPLS is that it can identify the type of service being passed through it and determine the path to send to according to the importance and latency-sensitivity of the service.
